The Mogol River Lodge, a newly-developed and picturesque lodge set between indigenous fauna and flora, goes on auction on 13 October at 11am on site on Werken Dam Road,Lephalale (Ellisras), in Limpopo Province.

The property is situated in the heart of the Bushveld on an island surrounded by the Mogol River, approximately 4km outside Lephalale.

The lodge has 18 Cape-Dutch-style chalets. Twelve of the chalets are built in a u-shape around a waterhole with lush lawn and palm trees, while the remaining six chalets are north-facing, each with its own garden.

The chalets

The 18 Cape-Dutch-style chalets are fully furnished three-bedroom units, 120 sqm each, completed in 2011. The chalets can also be converted into three-bedroom houses with open-plan lounge, kitchen (complete with cupboards and granite tops), and a dining room. The main as well as second and third bedrooms, are ensuite, all with built-in cupboards. The bedrooms and lounge are fitted with air conditioners.

Workers accommodation

The workers accommodation comprises six units, built in the same style as the guest chalets, and each with a bathroom, including a shower. The workers accommodation area has an outside storeroom for garden equipment, and a laundry room fully equipped with four heavy-duty washing machines, steam irons, and a linen room next to the laundry room.

Restaurant kitchen

The kitchen caters for at least 120 guests, with two gas stoves with extractor fans, two storerooms with fridges, and one 3x3m cold room.
